It is made from soaked rice, jaggery or sugar. To make Anarsa, rice is soaked and the water is changed regularly for a few days. Then, flour is prepared by drying the rice, grinding it, and mixing it with jaggery. The dough is covered and left to ripen for 4-5 days. The dough is then wrapped in white poppy seeds, pressed into a round shape and fried until golden.
